His most notable project included managing the construction of the $50MM Tonopalo luxury timeshare project in Lake Tahoe, CA. In that capacity, he was responsible for all phases of development from securing pre-development entitlements through owner acceptance of individual units. Tonopalo has since become a model for best practices used in the development of beach front property in the Lake Tahoe Basin by the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency. Also in the Lake Tahoe Basin, Ron oversaw the construction of the successful mixed use Heavenly Village in Stateline, NV.  Ron was principally responsible for The Shops at Heavenly Village, the retail component of the project, which had direct connection to the existing tram to Heavenly Ski Resort, as well the Marriot Vacation Residences, Timber Lodge.  Prior to these projects, he oversaw the remodel of a 40-year-old motel into the $100MM Siena Hotel Spa Casino in downtown Reno, NV. The remodel added luxury suites and a nationally recognized spa.  In addition to these hospitality and mixed-use projects, Ron has extensive residential development experience, both as a principal developer and as a general contractor. Ron managed the construction and sale of 100 semi-custom homes, along with the development of approximately 90 new lots, common area facilities including a spa, pool, and tennis courts, at Jubilee Los Lunas outside Albuquerque, NM.  In addition to these past projects, Ron is currently managing the development of Massey Oaks, a 356-acre master planned community in Pearland, TX and The One6, a gated enclave of 16 semi-custom homes in Reno, NV.  Beyond these in-house projects, Ron has been retained to manage the development of several international projects including Serenity Bay in Antigua and The Angus, a golf course and hotel project in Scotland.

Ron is also a distinguished public servant. He spent four years on both the Airport Authority Advisory Board and the Home Consortium Advisory Board. He spent three and a half years with the Washoe County Planning Commission and served one year as its Chairman. Most recently, Ron completed nearly eight years on the City of Reno Planning Commission with three years as its Chairman. In these roles, Ron has helped shape the future of Reno by advising the City of Reno Council on a myriad of issues, including natural resources, economics, housing, population, land use and zoning. Furthermore, he has reviewed and advised on all major development projects proposed within the City.
